Loved it, and the story was set in New York and NY is the most beautiful place I would love to go to someday. Anyway, this book was an unforgettable experience. Wholesome and full of adventures, I grew loving THE NIGHT TOURIST.

Jack Perdu, a shy but smart school boy had a near fatal accident and his life changed forever. After the accident, weird things has been happening to him. then his father sent him in New York. The thing is Jack never set foot to NY again after her mother died, until now... from there the story begins, he met this strange girl Euri, truth unfolds, how and why did Jack's mother died. Jack will explore the Underworld. and then.. he'll try to do the "impossible" -that only one man had ever succeeded in doing it. I think I will have to stop now :)The ending was heartbreaking though. But never worry, there's always a light  the end of the tunnel. haha.

Great for young readers and of course for everybody.  An easy read but I found it unputdownable and intriguing. A very wonderful fantasy/ghost story.

By the way, the author is having a fan contest, you should go check it out on her website and win signed copies of her books.

The Hunger Games by Suzzane Collins

The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1) by Suzanne Collins
Format:  Hardcover, 374 pages
Release Date: 01 October 2009
Publisher: Scholastic Press

Twenty-four are forced to enter. Only the winner survives. In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. Each year, the districts are forced by the Capitol to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the Hunger Games, a brutal and terrifying fight to the death - televised for all of Panem to see.

Survival is second nature for sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who struggles to feed her mother and younger sister by secretly hunting and gathering beyond the fences of District 12. When Katniss steps in to take the place of her sister in the Hunger Games, she knows it may be her death sentence. If she is to survive, she must weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

I know, who else doesn't know about this book? I bet there would be booing on me now  if I say this book wasn't breath-taking.  It was. And I wasn't disappointed at all. I am sort of obsessed right now with this trilogy I need to get starting with the second book CATCHING FIRE. I don't think making a review right now would be necessary but let me give you a quick one. for those who haven't read it yet, well! Start reading THE HUNGER GAMES now!

My dad is also in the military  and the author Suzanne mentioned that her dad was also in the service and I do understand what its like being out in the jungle trying to survive. I thought this book was awesome. No dull moments, plot was fantastic and loved the writing style of the author. Katniss was something any young girl would want to be. What really touched me was her taking her sister's place for the Hunger Games and also "the boy with the bread". And what freaked me out was the ending scene with Cato and those mutated monsters. It was amazingly eeky and creepy.

I really felt connected with the story. Its provocative, gripping and addicting. I cant wait to read to read the second book soon.  It is RECOMMENDED.

GuestPost: Aubrey Coletti author of ALTERED & GIVEAWAY

Today we have Aubrey Coletti the author of Altered for a guestpost here on my blog.

 Aubrey Coletti

One of the first things those who have read or learned about “Altered” express is surprise that schools quite similar to the fictional J. Alter Academy exist. I certainly was shocked to learn of places like the Judge Rottenberg Center (right in Canton, Massachusetts, by my own home town!) which uses skin shock devices to enforce behavioral rules on the children residing in their center, or the WWASP, the World Wide Association of Specialty Programs, an umbrella organization for many “teen help” programs which accepts children with supposed psychological or behavioral problems and which have been accused of being little more than “teen torture centers.”

The fact of the matter is those suffering from mental and emotional disturbances are still in danger of being treated as willful delinquents, or walking time-bombs. While “Altered” is written very much as a fictional teen sci-fi thriller, packed with as much drama, humor, and action as I could fit into 272 pages, I also tried to pack in as much realism as possible. Most of the characters are composites of my friends and family, with lots of the dialogue taken from real life. Mental illness is something close to home for me, from a history of it in my family, my own struggles with anorexia, anxiety disorder and depression, and watching close friends struggle as well. The idea of having some type of skill or talent to make up for being sick, or different, or an outsider is nothing new: being the ardent X-Men fangirl that I am, you will probably see some parallels. But while many of the characters have extraordinary abilities to make up for their mental and emotional struggles, I tried to keep the experience of living with a sickness in your mind and heart as true to life as I could make it.

I try not to have any deliberate “messages” in my writing, and just let the characters do the talking. But if I have any main theme in “Altered”, it’s that of family: the family you make based on love and trust, the family made up of friends and lovers who chose each other. In the absence of adults they can trust and rely upon, the characters of “Altered” make their own family, watching each other’s backs, fighting for their goals and carrying each other when one of their own can’t walk. It may be my most deeply help belief that you can get through anything with a family like that, whether it be draconian teachers or the terrors in your own mind: if you’re not alone, you can survive it. If anything, I hope my book can give that sense to those who read it, that there is no reason to go through life alone.

Altered by Aubrey Coletti Review+ GIVEAWAY[CLOSED]

Altered (The Academy Series #1) by Aubrey Coletti
Published June 4th 2011 by Escape Artist Press
Source: Author
"So I'll have to take the big risk. Irony is a bitch."

When Toni, Joseph and Charlie arrive at their new boarding school, they are glad to leave their families - and respective problems - behind. Isolated as boarders, they meet a handsome senior with a personality like iced snake's blood, teachers with a penchant for physical punishment, and four other outcasts who reveal that their being brought to the Academy wasn't random at all. When the arrivals discover that their new school is engaged in "behavior modification" through electric shocks, isolation, restraints, and an ever-evolving set of methods to "fix" them, they declare war on their Academy. During their campaign of sabotage, they fight, hate, scorn, love, and begin to uncover the reasons why they were brought to the school. But as their war against the school escalates beyond their control, will they become the very things the Academy believes they are: dangerous, delinquent - and mad?
         Goodreads

This book is about these teenagers  sent to Altered Academy for some reason that they didn't know about. They thought it was just a normal boarding school. After finding out that they do horrible punishments for those who defies the rules, students were scared, but Toni Ann and Joseph's  group " not-so-ordinary kids" have declared a war, a war that will measure their friendship and their strange abilities to escape this horrible Academy. But someone betrayed them, and that messed up everything, will they be able to get out of this school?

I don't want to give away too much about this book otherwise it will spoil the reading. But I enjoyed reading ALTERED.  I liked the idea of teenagers joining together with some kind of unnatural talents that they were oblivious of and then trying to plot something against the Academy. I thought that was pretty interesting.  The characters that standout more to me was Ann and Joseph, they are a bad-ass teenagers. Loved the thing going on with them two. Some scenes were quite intense, the love scene and especially when they were on the stage of acting on rebellion. I got confused with some scenes and some dialects though, but overall I did like ALTERED. And the ending was quite interesting too I actually cant wait to read the next book.

By the way,  those days when I was in high school I used to dream of doing wicked things in our school with my friends behind our teachers back.  ha ha Didn't have the guts though. :)

Divergent (Divergent #1) by Veronica Roth

Divergent by Veronica Roth
Published May 3rd 2011 by HarperCollins Children's Books

"Being brave is also being selfless."
Beatrice "Tris" Prior has reached the fateful age of sixteen, the stage at which teenagers in Veronica Roth's dystopian Chicago must select which of five factions to join for life. Each faction represents a virtue: Candor, Abnegation, Dauntless, Amity, and Erudite. To the surprise of herself and her selfless Abnegation family, she chooses Dauntless, the path of courage. Her choice exposes her to the demanding, violent initiation rites of this group, but it also threatens to expose a personal secret that could place in mortal danger. Veronica Roth's young adult Divergent trilogy launches with a captivating adventure about love and loyalty playing out under most extreme circumstances.
So I just realized that Ive been reading plenty of dystopian novels lately. And I think I'm a bit lucky to have picked up such an amazing stories'  and Divergent was one of those.  It is absolutely off the hook. A world divided into 5 factions, Candor, Amity, Erudite, Dauntless and Abnegation. And when the time is right, you make the decision where you really belong….but do you really have to belong in only one faction? What if  you belong to more than one? That makes you dangerous and you'll be dead before you know it.

I will not spoil your reading so ill only tackle what I really  feel about this book. The story was fast-paced that every page were worth reading. Unputdownable. I never wanted it to end. I loved being inside of Tris’ mind. She is flawed, smart spirited and daring.  I felt her emotions that I really did cry in some scenes. Yes I did have teary eyes on some books Ive read, but DIVERGENT really drove me into sobs, it was a roller coaster of emotions, I felt Tris' hurt of betrayals, the maddening angers, frustrating fears, the thriving to be belonged, surviving to live, the happiness of unexpected love and too many losses. Its terrifying having those simulations and entering fear landscape. Its also very inspiring. It made me think that people should just unite instead of discriminating others, or trying to control others just because they can or because of political insecurities or power-hunger.  I just loved DIVERGENT. The plot was intriguing and brilliant. The romance between Tris and Four was really sensational. I thought Four was so hot I want more of him and Tris.

A provocative and heartening story, that I fell in love with this novel. I'm also desperate for the second installment. I really do need more of this series. INSURGENT is coming out hopefully next year. Cheers guys..

Burn Bright (Night Creatures #1) by Marriane de Pierres

Burn Bright by Marriane de Pierres
Published March 1st 2011 by Random House Australia

“Imagine a place where there are no Elders. No rules. No punishment. Only music and laughter and freedom. That’s Ixion. We have few rules but they are absolute. “”

Into a world of wild secrets and deadly pleasures comes a girl whose innocence may be her greatest strength.

In Ixion music and party are our only beliefs. Darkness is our comfort. We have few rules but they are absolute . . .

Retra doesn’t want to go to Ixion, the island of ever-night, ever-youth and never-sleep. Retra is a Seal – sealed minds, sealed community. She doesn’t crave parties and pleasure, experience and freedom.

But her brother Joel left for Ixion two years ago, and Retra is determined to find him. Braving the intense pain of her obedience strip to escape the only home she’s ever known, Retra stows away on the barge that will take her to her brother.

When she can’t find Joel, Retra finds herself drawn deeper into the intoxicating world of Ixion. Come to me, whispers a voice in her head. Who are the Ripers, the mysterious guardians of Ixion? What are the Night Creatures Retra can see in the shadows? And what happens to those who grow too old for Ixion?

Retra will find that Ixion has its pleasures, but its secrets are deadly. Will friendship, and the creation of an eternal bond with a Riper, be enough to save her from the darkness?

Listen well, baby bats. Burn bright, but do not stray from the paths. Remember, when you live in a place of darkness you also live with creatures of the dark

I'm really excited to write this review.  But its really hard for me to describe how I really feel about this book without giving too much away.  I guess youll just have to read it instead. But of course I would really love to share this with you, my lovely readers why this book is alluring in so many ways but I can only tell you so much.

Retra, a Seal from the North Grave, Innocent young girl who lives pretty much by the rules of the Councils all her life,  who's brother ran away to go to Ixion, “island of ever-night, ever-youth and never sleep”. Party all you want, and do what you please. Under obedience strip, she decided to follow Joel one night to Ixion. But there’s a lot of things she doesn’t know about this dark place.  Retra went on her way, with no idea what to expect but her goal was to find her brother and live somewhere they could be happy together... Her journey begins from there and her life will never be the same again.

I’ve read fair number of dystopian books and this one topped all of it. Marriane is a freaking Genius. I thought Retra was the perfect character I would really like for a hero.  Also The Ripers were really creepy, the night creatures  were scary, and the party was sooo good I felt like joining in there lol( I do love parties) The plot was very unique , contagious and very moving I could almost taste it lol. I don’t know what pulled me more in reading this book if it was the plot, narration or the characters, I guess its because everything was endearing that I was sucked in into this world Marriane have created, obsessed with what’s gonna happen next. It was unpredictable. Cant wait for ANGEL ARIAS Book Two.

A gothic/fantasy dystopian book full of dark secrets and mysteries,  captivating beyond expectation. Overall, LOVED LOVED LOVED it! A huge big fat flashing 5 stars! See you again on my next post! Burn bright baby bats!

Author Interview: Paula Morris author of DARKSOULS

Hey guys, I've been honored to have an interview with one of my favorite YA fiction ghost Author to talk about her new released novel Dark Souls and some other awesome stuff.  Let us welcome, Paula Morris.

About Paula Morris

Paula Morris, a novelist and short story writer of English and Maori descent, was born in New Zealand. For almost a decade she worked in the record business in London and New York. In 2010, after six years in New Orleans, where she taught creative writing at Tulane University, she moved to Glasgow, Scotland. She now teaches at the University of Stirling.

Ruined, her first YA novel, was published by Scholastic US (2009). A mystery with a supernatural twist, set in post-Katrina New Orleans, Ruined has also been optioned for film. Paula is represented in the US by Richard Abate at 3 Arts: 49 West 27th Street, Fifth Floor, New York, NY 10001.
Visit her site here:  Paula Morris
Q: How did you come up with the title “Dark Souls”?
A: In a very roundabout way, I have to say. I don't know how to explain without giving too much of the story away, but basically I was researching a real-life arson attack on York Minster in the early nineteenth-century, which led to the work of a particular artist, which led to the work of the poet John Milton, which led to this quote. Really, all is explained in the book!

Q: Can you please tell us a little bit more about this new released novel of yours? And how long did it take you to finish writing it?
"Dark Souls" Published Date August 1, 2011
A: I've written another book since I finished work on DARK SOULS, so I may be confused about this. But I think I worked on it spring and summer of 2010, with a revised draft finished around September. I began it when I was still living in New Orleans, and finished it in Glasgow, Scotland, where I live now.

Q: Also, can you please tell us more about the setting of Dark Souls
A: The novel is set in York, which used to be one of the most important cities in England back in the days of the Romans and (later) the Vikings. It's a beautiful and atmospheric place, with medieval walls and a stunning cathedral, known as the Minster. I went to university there, and loved it. A couple of years ago I read an article in a magazine that described York as the most haunted city in Europe, and that got me thinking about it as a setting for a book.

Q: How is Dark Souls different to Ruined?
A: Like RUINED, DARK SOULS is a mystery with a supernatural twist, set in a very old, very haunted city. They're also both about teenagers who are far from home, stumbling into strange and difficult situations. I think that maybe DARK SOULS is a little darker than RUINED. (It certainly has a higher ghost count!)

Q: What is your favorite type of hero?
A: Hmmm, that's a good question. Someone who isn't afraid to take action, I suppose - or rather, someone who'll get up and do things even if they ARE afraid.

Q: Where did you get the ideas/inspiration of writing YA books? And most of all, why ghosts?
A: I wrote RUINED for my niece, who was 15 at the time. All the other books I'd written weren't really suitable for her. As for ghosts, I like their flexibility, if that makes sense. They're wild cards in a story, behaving according to the rules of their world, not ours. Some ghosts make themselves visible to many people; some are more reclusive (or exclusive). They're unnerving too, for both the characters in a novel and us readers. What will they do next? What do they want?

Q: It’s very obvious that you love to write stories exploring different places around the world, do you have any particular reasons to make a certain place a settings for the books that you write?
A: For me, a story grows out of a particular place. I recently spent a week in Rome, researching for another 'haunted city' mystery. I had some ideas before I went, and had fixed on Rome because I knew it had a rich past with lots of possibilities for a ghost story. But I like to go to a place and be open to its stories, sights, history, secrets.

Q: I also learned that your working on the 2nd book of Ruined, when is it going to be published and what your readers can expect about it?
A: You're right: I'm working on a sequel to RUINED right now. Many of the characters will be familiar to readers - like Rebecca and Anton - but some will be new, like Rebecca's best friend, Ling. Most of the novel is set in New Orleans again. That's all I can tell you right now! Hopefully it will be published late summer 2012.

Q: I just need to ask you this, what is your favorite YA book you have read so far?
A: I'm going to go old-school on you, and sing the praises of the Donna Parker series (written in the late 50s/early 60s). But a more recent book: Meg Rosoff's HOW I LIVE NOW.

Q: I know you haven’t seen any ghost yourself, but would you like to see one at all?
A: I'm not sure if I've ever seen a ghost or not. Who can tell?

Q: Any last thoughts for our readers?
A: Read as much and as widely as you can. It's a very cheap way to travel the world!

Thank you so much Paula Morris for being so gracious with your time. She is really cool.
I cant wait to read Dark Souls and also the 2nd book of Ruined. I love it dark and creepy. To know more about her, visit her blog. And thank you guys for reading my post. Hope you did enjoy it like I did. Cheers!

Soulstice (The Devouring #2) by Simon Holt

Soulstice (The Devouring #2) by Simon Holt
Published September 1st 2009 by Little Brown and Company

Beware the darkness and the light. The will steal your soul in day or night. In summer;s warmth or winter's cold. Your life will end when the Vours take hold. In the feascape no one can hear you cry. And in its depth your soul will die.
The terrifying, nail-biting, and grossly intriguing sequel toThe Devouring.
It's been six months since Reggie first discovered and fought against the Vours, malicious and demonic beings that inhabit human bodies on the eve of the Winter Solstice.

The Vours still haunt Reggie, but only in her dreams-until one night, when an unexpected visitor turns her nightmares into reality.

The battle against evil continues in Soulstice, the second book in the thrilling The Devouring series, which School Library Journal called, "Comparable to books by R. L. Stine and Stephen King....A must-have for horror fans."

If I am going to describe this book in two sentences only.  It would be…  Horrifying. Mind-blowing. Simon Holt is always going to be my favorite author in YA horror. I swear, it scared the crap out of me.

You have to read the first book first to fully understand this second book of Sorry Night ( The Devouring). So After saving her brother, Henry from the Vours, Reggie’s life is now in danger. Someone’s plotting against her and is trying to get what power she had from devouring the Vours. From here, Reggie has to know whom she can trust, because Vours are everywhere and they are plotting something that will destroy and steal souls from humans.

The plot was freaking awesome. Loved the twist and turns. It’s gruesomeness and monstrosity was everything a horror fan would love. Though I kept on shifting from my seat it was unbearable to be in the ‘fearscape’. It’s a place where the real person inside you is lurking hidden somewhere while the Vour is taking control of your own body. I don’t know what will I do if it was me but Reggie is a perfect character for me. And I'm a bit torn between Anton and Quinn for her.
The ending was of course a big cliffhanger that It just made me want to get starting with the 3rd book. Fearscape. And this cover is sooooo gorgeous, Im sure that is Quinn with his green eyes.

Friendship, adventures and evil, this book will make you gasp and scream inside. BOO!

Sirensong (Faeriewalker #3) by Jenna Black

Sirensong (Faeriewalker #3) by Jenna Black
Published July 5th 2011 by St. Martin's Press
“You can’t save everyone, his voice sometimes whispers in my head.”

When Dana is invited to Faerie to be officially presented at the Seelie Court, it’s no easy decision. After all, everyone knows Titania, the Seelie Queen, wants her dead. But Titania claims not to be the one behind the death threats; and her son, Prince Henry, makes the decision a whole lot easier when he suggests Dana might be arrested for (supposedly) conspiring with her aunt Grace to usurp the Seelie throne. So she and her father better do as they're told . . .

The journey through Faerie is long—and treacherous. Dana thought it would be a good idea to have friends along, but her sort-of-boyfriend, Ethan, and her bodyguard’s son, Keane, just can’t seem to get along, and Kimber’s crush on Keane isn’t making things any easier. When a violent attack separates Dana from their caravan, the sexy Erlking saves her just in the nick of time . . . and makes it clear that he hasn’t given up on making her his own.
Arriving at Titania’s beautiful palace should be a relief. But Dana is soon implicated in an assassination attempt against Titania’s granddaughter, and is suddenly a fugitive, forced to leave her father behind as she and her friends flee for their lives. Will she be able to prove her innocence before the forces of the Seelie Court—or, worse, the Erlking—catch up with her? And will she save her father before he pays the ultimate price in her stead?
What if the most powerful beings in the Faerie were afraid of what you could do? Cool right? Again, Jenna Black did an amazing job with this Faeriewalker series (which is by the way on my top favorites).

So, Dana was invited by the Queen Titania to be officially presented to the Seelie Court though Dana suspiciously didn’t like the idea of going there when the Queen wanted her dead, her Dad was all for it. A promise of safe passage to the Faerie, Dana, her dad and her friends travels with the the Seelie Prince and his guards. But then again,  it’s not the destination but the journey lol. Dana and her friends lives were put in a serious danger, Bogle attacks, Green Ladies, and the worse was someone brought something  (only a Faeriewalker could bring such thing) that caused huge chaos in the palace. And that made Dana a positive suspect and in deep shite,  from there she has to choose between saving her father or her friends or herself.   Of course Dana is flawed, courageous and hilarious teenage girl which is why she is so the most effective character for me in this book.

It was really nice and fun being inside of Dana’s mind, how she feels with things that has been happening to her life, for her mom, for Keane , Kimber and  for Ethan.  Though I really wanted Keane for her, Ethan is really a romantic guy so I'm okay with it. I wonder if this is the last book. Queen Mab didn’t show in the scene yet so I guess that means no?

Characters and plot were awesome couldn’t ask for more. A fast- paced, exciting, thrilling, heart-melting, ass-kicking novel of Faeriewalker book you don’t want to miss. Epic! Recommended *wink*

Delirium by Lauren Oliver
Published February 1st 2011 by HarperTeen

"Everything ends, people move on, they don't look back. It's how they should be."

Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love -- the deliria -- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the governments demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love
.

Delirium was awesome. Wow imagine that, what if love really is a disease? I was thinking while reading this book that Love really is the most mysterious thing in this world, people goes nuts or sometimes too happy when they are in love, they could do anything even the impossible.  People in love find their right perspective in life, some just go somewhere tragic. The story of this book was very touching and I think, genius . This is a well-written dystopian novel. I was hooked to the last page, I couldn’t put it down. Its about the tragic effects that love can cause to us. That’s why in this world that Lauren made, Love is a forbidden word, you cannot feel love and show love. People will be cured when they reached 18 of age. That means a drastic change after the cure. No affection, no Love.

But what if you are falling in love with some one and you don’t want that feeling to be taken away?  Would you do something unthinkable? And do anything for love to stay in your heart?

The characters were really good. Lena was our heroine and I think she was awesome, I felt really connected to her, her anger, her desperation. And Alex, I fell in love with this guy easily. They are just so good together. The ending was a huge cliffhanger though,  that’s why I am sooooo dying to read the second book. Its coming out next year 2012.

Hereafter by Tara Hudson

Hereafter by Tara Hudson
Published June 7th 2011 by HarperCollins

Can there truly be love after death?

Drifting in the dark waters of a mysterious river, the only thing Amelia knows for sure is that she's dead. With no recollection of her past life—or her actual death—she's trapped alone in a nightmarish existence. All of this changes when she tries to rescue a boy, Joshua, from drowning in her river. As a ghost, she can do nothing but will him to live. Yet in an unforgettable moment of connection, she helps him survive.
Amelia and Joshua grow ever closer as they begin to uncover the strange circumstances of her death and the secrets of the dark river that held her captive for so long. But even while they struggle to keep their bond hidden from the living world, a frightening spirit named Eli is doing everything in his power to destroy their newfound happiness and drag Amelia back into the ghost world . . . forever.
Thrilling and evocative, with moments of pure pleasure, Hereafter is a sensation you won't want to miss.
I do love ghost stories, and with this book I was clearly under spell while reading it. A well-written paranormal novel by Tara Hudson. Okay so Amelia was a ghost who remembers nothing of her past life even how she died. And then, someone is dying in the river this time, Joshua crashed his car and only Amelia was there to saved him. Then, when no one could see her, Joshua did. They became friends, he helped Amelia remember everything, and Amelia fell in love with this handsome young man Joshua. I know, alive cute guy fell in love with a ghost girl.. And its awesome. Tara really pulled it off quite good.  I loved the twist and turns of the story, there something more than Amelia's death, something that will make Joshua and Amelia apart, something evil was trying to claim her and someone is trying to make her fade away.  Will they ever have a chance to be together at all? A very enjoyable, thrilling adventures and romance that I grew loving this novel. Recommended for paranormal lovers. There's also a sequel so watch out for it. By the way I got this via Netgalley so thank you and HarperCollins as well!

Wither by Lauren Destefano

Wither by Lauren Destefano
Published March 22nd 2011 by Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing

Obviously, something went terribly wrong. Genetic mutations have festered, reducing human longevity to twenty-five, even less for most women. To prevent extinction, young girls are kidnapped, mated in polygamous marriages with men eager to procreate. Sixteen-year-old Rhine Ellery, a recent victim of this breeding farm mentality, has vowed to break loose from its fetters; but finding allies and a safe way out is a challenge she can only hope she will survive. A dystopian fantasy series starter with wings. Editor's recommendation.

I don't know how I feel about this book, it was okay for me, but I didn't really love it.Or probably I wasn't the right audience for it. It was a slow story that I have to skip some pages. The story goes around the girl Rhine, and The Mansion where she was kept in as a first wife. And in this world people just die of ages 20 for girls and 25 for men. The characters were effective, Cecile was so annoying, and I don't like Rhine as much as I liked Jenna. In general I would say that the plot was still interesting. The story was both tragic and sad that kept me from finishing it. Though, The only part it get exciting was the ending. And Id still say that I would be watching out for the next book.

The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa

The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa
Published August 1st 2010 by Harlequin Teen

Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner to the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron fey—ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her.Worse, Meghan's own fey powers have been cut off. She's stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can't help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart.

Once again, this is as compelling as the first book, and has more adventures and romance scenes along the way. OMG, I do not know which one I loved the most for Meghan, Puck or Ash. Seriously, I am so torn between the two. Oh, how lucky you are Princess. Anyway, The Iron Daughter is the continuation of Meghan's journey to Nevernever, and to fulfill her end of bargain with the Dark Prince, Ash. And this time, she's starting to use her iron power already. Cool right?! All of the events that took place in this book was awesome. I couldn't put it down. Trust me, if you haven't read the "The Iron King", you better start reading it now, or you'll miss half of you life, ha ha. There was no dull moment. I  felt lots of emotions its too much I was on the verge of tears. I felt really sad for Ash, then for Puck, then for Charles, and for Meghan. The ending? I was like Whattttt? I think Meghan had broke my heart too when she left Puck to follow Ash. But then again, it would also break my heart if she didn't follow Ash, oh what the heck. Arrrghh. I'm so crazy over this book really, I just loved loved loved it.
